The Stove Industry Association (SIA), the UK trade association for the sustainable solid fuel stove sector, has appointed a client manager to assist with growing the Association’s membership and work with existing members to enhance value.
David Hamilton, who joined the SIA’s operations team last month, has a background in sales and marketing and has responsibility for new member recruitment across the SIA’s five membership categories, including the recently introduced SIA Installer Member category designed for professional installers that are members of a recognised solid fuel competent persons scheme.
Commenting on his new role David said:
“It’s an exciting time to be joining a busy and thriving trade association and I am looking forward to the new challenges ahead and to building new and fruitful business relationships. I’d urge any stove business that would like to know more about the benefits of becoming an SIA member to get in touch to find out more.”
David, a passionate sustainable solid fuel stove user himself, joins the Association at a critical time for the sector as SIA chair, Andy Hill explains:
“At a time when the industry is rising to the challenge of a likely further tightening of emissions regulations for both stove appliances and the fuels that they burn, it is vital that the SIA maintains the strong position it has established within the sector and further grows its membership in order to ensure that we can continue with the important stakeholder engagement and consumer best practice messaging that we undertake. I’d like to extend a very warm welcome to David as he joins the team.”
